Yess!! The muppet mouth! I'm glad you like the leaf/hand animation X) Thank you!
While the foreshortening/perspective could use a bit of work (it's a bit hard to grasp the full depth of the Drake), and maybe some more work could be done with the design of the smoke, or fog, or mist (I assume smoke, since Fire drake and all), I do like the design of the Drake itself. It speaks of a creature or being that is clearly unfriendly and not too keen to trust whoever it comes across.
Also, dragons be cool.
Thanks for your comment...but there should not be much foreshortening in this case as there's not a huge distance between the head and the body(which could create such visual difference)...nor the dragon has long neck to create the distance...obviously if you are looking at it from a point of view of a generic dragon design, you will have a misconception as it's an unique design...as for the smoke..I prefer to keep additional details in such cases simple, to keep the viewer's focus on the main subject...it is already a full image with little negative space...adding more work would make it look crowded...that's my thought behind creating this piece. Of-course every artist has their own point of view. Thanks for dropping by :)
Really nice 'n' trippy. Cool designs as well.
Kinda reminds me of the music video for the song "The Shooting Star," by the metal band Gojira.
Awesome stuff, mate!

All according to plan...
Awesome awesome awesome! Really cool rendition of a great character.
And she have nightmare eyes... :O
Pretty neat. Though I don't really think it needs an M rating. Maybe T at the highest.
Like the lines 'n' the shading though
Hey man, tahnks! I didnt notiece the rating, I must have clicked it by error.
Thanks dude!
What voodoo magic do you use to create such awesome looking environments?!
I envy you, good sir!
just mash my face on the tablet with the pen tapped to the side of my head until something happens.
Well shit... Another artist to be inspired by...
Seriously though, pretty amazing work
Thank you!
Makes me think of a blend between the Great Old One, Cthulu and Abhoth, one of the Outer Gods (best described in this passage from Clark Ashton Smith's "Seven Greases":
"There were things like bodiless legs or arms that flailed in the slime, or heads that rolled, or floundering bellies with fishes' fins; and all manner of things malformed and monstrous, that grew in size as they departed from the neigbborhood of Abhoth."
But yeah, I think you perfectly captured both the epic scale and terror of Lovecraftian and Cosmic horror with this piece. Good job mate!
I really like this idea that cosmic horrors from higher dimensions tend to appear as disembodied limbs and tentacles to us.
This has a very Lovecraftian vibe to it, like it's a figment of cosmic horror, but related to technology. I say that because I've recently been on a Cthulhu-Mythos kick recently, learning about the various awesomely vile monsters and figures from Lovecraft and other contributors to the twisted fictional world. I feel like this image fits very well with that whole concept.
As far as the actual drawing aspect of it, I can really say that the shading and line-work adds an almost wood-cuttery feeling to the piece, which only adds to the organic nature of the creature. Definitely well deserving of the front page.
Thank you very much for this great review!
